Octagonal Table
The Octagonal table was called Caged Table at one point; to us it looked like a geometric Robert Smithson non-site sculpture, with books instead of rocks sticking out. This occasional table occupies space greatly; we prefer it without a glass top, suitable for larger items. But a glass top can be added for a more daily use situation. Ideal as a corner piece, it is the tallest of our side tables, so it can sit next to a high arm sofa. We do admit that in this piece, the form came before the function. It is made of solid wood extending the "indestructible" approach of other ARTLESS objects.
